About Us

Newton International Academy, Lusail is an incredible, unique and inspirational center of leaning situated in the heart of Lusail and is just a short distance from the Pearl. It offers world class facilities and technologies and is located opposite the Marina Central metro station allowing easy access for families across Doha. We offer the British curriculum from ‘Early Years Foundation 1’ through to Years 12 and 13. We provide internationally recognised qualifications, including British iGCSEs and A’levels that are accepted by the very best universities across Europe and the world.

The academy opened in August 2025, with a vision to provide a very special educational experience within the Lusail area. All our teachers have been carefully selected and are highly skilled in their specialist areas. The academy is equipped with very well resourced and beautiful libraries that are designed to stimulate and excite a passion for learning. There is an Olympic size swimming pool, theater and an underground park which will enable parents to drop off their children with ease and safety.

All students have access to prayer rooms, English and Arabic reading books and we offer the compulsory subjects as directed by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, including 1^st language and 2^nd language Arabic. Qatar national values are highly important to us, as is our commitment to the national code of ethics and the ‘Qatar 20-30 Vision”. With the opening of Newton International Academy, Lusail, the vision of our founding chairman, Dr Jabr Al-Noaimi to provide ‘an international community of learners striving for excellence and celebrating success’ continues to grow.

Principal Message

Dear Parents,

My name is Michael Wilson and I am delighted and proud to have been offered the privilege of becoming the founding Principal of this incredible and amazing campus. I started working in education in the early 1990s as a French teacher after having studied French and Business at the University of Central Lancashire in the UK and International Politics at the “ Institut D’Etudes Politiques” at the University of Bordeaux in France. I have now been in senior school leadership for over 25 years both in the UK and Qatar and have been a Principal and Executive Principal for over 15 years. I have worked for the Newton Group of schools for 8 years and still maintain close links with colleagues in the UK. All my children have been educated in Newton schools and therefore I have had the unique experience of being a parent and a Principal within the same school. I have always been passionate about education and learning and truly believe that being a teacher is a great privilege and responsibility.

Our curriculum is designed to offer the very best of British education and is enriched by the culture, faith, and values of Qatar. We take great pride in promoting Arabic language, Islamic faith, and Qatari National Identity. Through our excellent Arabic and Islamic Studies departments, students grow in spiritual understanding, cultural appreciation, and moral responsibility. These are not just subjects; they are the foundation of character and community.
