In our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), we provide a play-based, child-centred curriculum that supports children’s development across all areas of learning. Guided by the EYFS framework, our approach combines structured teaching with opportunities for exploration, creativity, and discovery. We focus on the prime areas of communication and language, physical development, and personal, social, and emotional growth, while also nurturing early literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts. Through a balance of free-flow play, continuous provision, and carefully planned activities, we ensure that every child develops the skills, confidence, and curiosity needed for a smooth transition into Key Stage 1.
There are six areas in which our Early Years Professionals support children to learn and develop. These are:
In EYFS, we aim to teach the children through a range of engaging and exciting topics which captivates and enthuses the children. We use the children’s interests and ideas to help support and guide our planning, to ensure that their learning is child led and they are at the center of their learning. We pride ourselves on our rich, stimulating environment which supports early language development and on our classroom provisions which support and challenge the children to become independent learners, preparing the children for a successful transition to Year 1 and beyond.
